If you're heading to South Padre Island and South Padre Island
activities, you'll find a bunch of things to do in the Entertainment
District between Amberjack and Marlin St.
How to get to Southern Wave on
South Padre Island
This South Padre Island map is not to scale. Amberjack, Pike, Ling
and Marlin St. are a block apart as are the other streets but have been exaggerated
for this map so you can find the Southern Wave at Wahoo's Saloon.
From the South Heading North
On South Padre Island from the Causeway, Radisson
Hotel, Holiday Inn Sunspri, La Copa Inn or The Sheraton Hotel, head
north on Padre Blvd., turn left
on Marlin St. and right on Laguna Blvd. You can't make a left at Pike or
Ling St.
North Heading South
If You're heading south from La Quinta, Bahia Mar, Beachside Inn, or
Holliday Inn Express, make a right on Amberjack or Pike and
you'll see our mast in front of Wahoo's Saloon. Wahoo's Saloon is
between Amberjack restaurant and Louie's Backyard. The South Padre
Island Entertainment District has other activities besides the Southern
Wave. Southern Wave provides snorkelling, dolphin watches, sunset and firework displays
and private charters,
but these services are also available on Murphy's Law, a large power
boat docked at Tequila Sunset, next to Wahoo's Saloon. Although we'd rather have you as our guest, you do have other
options and Steven Murphy is a great skipper and is probably the best
boat for Laguna Madre or offshore fishing. Next door at Coconuts, George
will take you on
an unbelievable parasail ride. Everyone has to try parasailing at least
once in their life. George keeps his parasail boat at the Coconuts
docks and besides
some great drinks and entertainment you can also get some thrills on
their wave runners.
Louie's Backyard, Wahoo's Saloon and Coconuts have been on South Padre Island forever and
have something for everyone. Don't forget to check them all out.
